For decades, Hong Kong has been known as a major manufacturing center for the biggest names in American and European fashion. Many don’t realize, however, that the city has also produced, in recent years, its own crop of native-born vibrant designers. During last week’s 7th on Sixth fashion shows For Fall 2006, the highly successful and recognized brand of Blanc de Chine hosted their own special event at their Flagship Store on 5th & Maddison. A runway showcasing their Dao, " leather silk" collection took place on the 2nd Floor. On Thursday 2/9/06 in Celebration of the Chinese New Year, a 2nd event took place at the Puck Building in Soho, where Blanc de Chine revealed their fresh new Spring 2006 collection.
